ZOOM Session 019 – Is it Right to Suppress Our Emotions at Work?

There's a part of us that wants to vent at work when things aren't right. Something inside, however, holds us back. We choose, instead, to suppress how we're feeling instead of expressing it. Is this the right thing to do? The truth is, other factors are at work when we suppress our emotions including (believe it or not) memory loss, increase heart stress, social communication deficits and more. The science behind emotion regulation is extensive. Watch this video to learn which is better, to suppress or express our emotions at work. Hint: Neither will serve us very well.
